Our Three Winners...

Many older people say that computers will ruin our eyes, and give us bad ideas. They prefer pens and paper to a keyboard and printer. That very well may be, but technology can also do things faster, and often more efficient than anything we could have ever even dreamed of. Even as I write this scientists and doctors are discovering the cures to even the common cold, that without the technology we have today, would never have been possible.

I'm talking on a very large scale though. Let's tone it down to me. By the time I'm ready for university, (which is one of my dreams)I might only have to go as far as my home computer to get to classes on the internet. My family won't have to pay for books, or my board. In a way it might be better, if it costs less, then more people will be able to afford to allow all their children to finish school.

I have a dream of blasting off in a rocket to another planet, and, even if I don't actually achieve this, a virtual reality simulator will allow me to experience it.

I want to be valedictorian of my class when I graduate, and I can use an electronic encyclopedia or the internet to further my studies, giving me a better chance of acheiving this.

I'd like to have happy, healthy children when I'm older, and technology can ensure I have a safe pregnancy or birth. If it's impossible for me to have children, I could use the world wide web to send information to an adoption agency.

I have many other dreams, but even though technology will help me with some of them, I won't stop dreaming.

Technology can help achive your dreams by giving you information. For example, if you wanted to become a scientist you would need to know a lot about science. Computers with encyclopedias and interactive sceince tutors and programs can make it easier to learn some important information.

Computers help writers a lot. It is now easier to write books, essays, short stories, ect. now that we have computers. Now an authors doesn't have to look in the dictonary to see how to spell words. They can just go to spell check. If you want to model, computers can fix up your pictures to make them look better so you will have a better chance of getting picked.

Technology helps achive your dreams in a lot of ways. It has many purposes and advantages. Through time we will advance further in technology and peoples dreams will be even easier to accomplish.

Technology can help me achieve my dreams because I don't have to worry about writer's cramp when writing a report. When I forgot to get reference for my report on Greek & Roman Mythology, the computer helped. Instead of dragging home books that probably were out of date, I pull up things from the computer database. (I also don't have to worry about late-fines.)

Technology can also help by giving me the resources I will need in the future to succeed. Technology today has helped me succeed in school and has helped me learn about my background and history.

I think technology can help your dreams by spreading the message or helping you earn popularity across the world. Say if you needed votes, people would come to your website and vote. Or, you have a message you want to get across to the world you could spread it across by a webpage.

I am 11 and I would like to enter the contest. Technolagy helps me accomplish my dreams becuase I like making clubs and Home Pages and I have a club and am making a Home Page right now. I think that it helps everyone because some people want to know what it is like in other parts of the world and they get pen pals from all around the world. It helps me accomplish my dreams becuase I want to tell other people that I am making and selling friendship bracelets and I send it out to other people and they buy it and tell there friends about it. I couldn't live without technolagy. I am glade that they have made it. I do have a question though. I think that the internet is better though because you always get on no matter what. I think that you shouldn't have to pay for a Home Page becuase it is just a Home Page.

Technology can help me achieve my dreams by doing what I want like using computer's to explore, using telephones to get jobs, doing mechanism and getting money for college. It can help me with lot's of experiences to train my self to riding cars and become pilots. Technology can help me go to other planet just like Neil Armstrong went to the moon and made history. Technology can help in many ways because it's the key to doing everything you love to do.

In my future I want to be a manager and manage a store. I will help people when they have problems. I will order things for the shop or store. Technology can help in a lot of ways by using a computer and typing orders and letters. And a telephone to help in all diferent kinds of ways. My parents own Adirondack, a coffee bar and specialty shops and another store called Dish & Spoon. Dish & Spoon is a kitchen store. I want to put the internet in the store so people can find recipes and then they will want to buy things to cook with. I would love to manage Dish & Spoon in a few years. That is my goal. That is what I want to achieve in my future.

I think technology can help me acheve my dreams, because i want to go into space and I think that good and updated technology is needed to do that. For instance if you built a telescope and let it off into orbit and something happens like what happed to the hubble telescope then you have to take a specile mission back up to space just to fix it if the technology had ben updated maby it would have worked the first time computers are also important because if they are not updated you may not recive pictures as well as you should or it may close down and you may lose important stuff that you need! Also technology on the in side of the space craft is good to have updated and recent because if somthing goes wrong on the inside of the ship then it may trigger something on the outside and you may be stuck in space for the rest of you're life but I think over all that to go to space or tho study the stars you definetly need updated technology because if something went wrong it could trigger the domino effect that would cause some thing elese to happen that was far worse than what might have happend if the technology was updated.
